     It's a measure of light when you see me
     It's a measure of pain when you hurt me
     It's a measure of hate when you strike

     Do you see where I bleed
     Open wounds that you've inflicted
     Do you know what I've seen
     Faces of haunting children
     Do you share what I fear
     That you take it all for granted
     Do you bathe in my tears
     Does it reach inside and turn you in, out

     Chained to the walls of ignorant minds
     As the blade fell onto me
     Are you afraid to come from the shade 
     And to face what you will see
     Little baby's fire in his mind
     Burns his soul away
     Making him immortal
     But inside, his hate will save the day

     Holier than thou
     May we walk upon the water
     If I kiss the ring
     May we lead the sheep to slaughter
     My love of life
     I will take it to my grave
     If the truth be known
     I've lost my faith that we are saved

     Too much information to gain
     My heart is overflowing
     Even much worse than dying too soon
     Is never really knowing
     Gathering of angels in my dreams
     Sailing through the skies
     Piercing through the wall in my soul
     To give eternal life
